You are buying a ZIP file containing setup scripts created by Mock Brains: Terraform configurations for provisioning an Oracle Cloud instance, a browser-based configurator for personalizing your deployment, and installer scripts that deploy your selected apps from their official upstream sources. The third-party apps themselves are not part of the purchase—they are separate projects with their own licenses, downloaded during installation.

You should be comfortable with basic terminal commands, SSH, and configuring DNS records. The scripts automate much of the complex work, but troubleshooting may require reading logs and understanding containerized applications.

The kit is designed to work within Oracle Cloud's Always Free resources, but Oracle controls those allowances and they may change at any time. Oracle's documentation pages currently show different allowances depending on account type—2 OCPUs / 12 GB for Always Free tenancies versus 4 OCPUs / 24 GB for paid tenancies. We recommend: (1) setting a $1 budget alert in OCI before deploying, (2) starting with the conservative 2 OCPU / 12 GB profile, (3) monitoring your Cost Analysis dashboard for 48+ hours, and (4) only using the larger profile after verifying $0 charges. Mock Brains does not control Oracle's billing and cannot guarantee any deployment will remain free. You are solely responsible for cloud charges.

Resource limits apply. Each app consumes memory and CPU. The configurator estimates resource usage and warns when selections exceed available capacity. Start with 3-5 apps you actually need and add more as you understand your resource usage. The full stack would exceed typical Free Tier limits.

You are responsible for maintaining your self-hosted stack. Apps run in Docker containers, so updates typically involve pulling new images from upstream. Each app has its own documentation and community for support—Mock Brains does not provide support for the third-party applications.

Purchase includes the setup scripts and documentation. We do not provide ongoing technical support for the deployed applications, Oracle Cloud issues, third-party services, or general infrastructure troubleshooting. For issues with specific apps, refer to each app's project documentation and community.

The scripts set up the infrastructure, but backup strategy is your responsibility. We recommend configuring Oracle's block volume backups and application-level backups for databases and important data. Data loss due to inadequate backups is not something we can recover.

The Terraform scripts are designed specifically for Oracle Cloud. Adapting them to other providers (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, etc.) would require modifications outside the scope of this product.

Each application has its own license (MIT, AGPL, Sustainable Use License, etc.). Some licenses have specific requirements—for example, AGPL requires you to share source code if you modify and provide network access to the software, and the Sustainable Use License restricts hosting the software as a service for others. Review each app's license before deployment.

Oracle's Free Tier currently offers Always Free compute resources that can run multiple containerized applications. The trade-off is a less familiar interface and ecosystem.
